Default Boaters Or Non-Boaters

Lakes and Intercoastal Waterways in/around Orlando......how are they? We will be buying a medium size cabin cruiser later. Are there any nice lakes around (suburbs or further) Orlando? Do the Intercoastal Waterways there draw a lot of pleasure boats? Do commercial freighters use the Intercoastal Waterways there? We just don't know that much about "pleasure boating/fishing" there.

rholborn is on a distinguished road
St. Johns River is nice which is near Sanford, you can cruise for a long time and also go to blue springs too. they make the admission free for boaters! when we had our boat, we did the st. johns river a lot, and also dissapearing island in New Smyrna Beach (or favorite location). We also loved the ski lake Lake Toho in St. Cloud (we got married there on our boat) hope that helps a little!

Default Many Lake chains

For starters, you have the Mt. Dora chain (launchi in Gilbert Park in Mt. Dora). You can also launch at Lake Eustis and head NW up the river or go SW to Big and Little Lake Harris.

Don't forget the Clermont chain as well as Lake Sue. Our faviorite trip was launching at Port Orange and taking the ditch to St. Augustine to the Conch House Marina or the City Docks.

Do it all; have a great time.
