Default Canopy Apartment Villas - East of Conway

How is the area east of Conway? Near the intersection of Curry Ford and Semoran.

I'm considering the Canopy Apartment Villas. Does anyone have any opinions on this complex?

Thanks!

It is close to the Azalea Park area by Stonewall Jackson Elementary and Colonial High School. It is not a very nice area, probably the worst area on the east side of town if not Union Park. If you live along Semoran, it gets nicer down by Lee Vista. The areas north of Colonial get nicer as well. I would generall avoid the 32807, 32822 ZIP code areas along Semoran and Goldenrod. There is a lot of crime and activity at night.

Yeah, I would not live in this area. Conway Road is fine, though some people on here would debate that claim.

I think the general rule is stay west of Dixie Belle and then it gets nicer until you get to South Orange Ave. Once you get east and around Chickasaw and Econlockhatchee, the areas get nicer again on the east side. It is certain main roads like Semoran and Goldenrod that attract a lot of crime and do not have the best neighborhoods around them. It stays like like that until you get quite a bit north like University Park or Winter Park East or quite a bit south like Vista Lakes or Lake Nona. I live in Conway and while I do drive on 436 sometimes at night, it is an area I tend to keep my guard up whereas I feel perfectly safe in my home close to the intersection of Conway and Michigan in the Bryn Mawr neighborhood. You can look at the crime map on Orlando Sentinel too by the 32807 ZIP code and see that a lot of crime takes place in the stretch between Colonial and Curry Ford along Semoran(436).
