The best zips are the following: 34746 (Pleasant Hill Area), 34747 (Celebration and The Four Corners Area) and 34744 (Neptune Road/Kings Highway/Remington/Kissimmee Bay).

Not the best areas (but not horrible)would be BVL (34743), Poinciana (34758, 34759)
and parts of 34741 (downtown area).

Major area to avoid would be Orange Blossom Trail between 192 and Donegan.

Hope this helps!

Stay away from the McLaren Circle area.

Kissimmee in general is high crime all along 192 and OBT I wouldn`t advise living around those areas.

We have a short term rental in Kissimmee and although the subdivision is nice, there is no way I'd stay out here. The schools aren't that great and it takes my husband an hour to go 20 miles to work He has to take Pleasure Hill to John Young into Orlando, all streets because there is no close highways around here.

There is a WalMart but that is it. If I need something that WalMart doesn't carry, I have to "go into town", Orlando. I go to the Orlando/Kissimmee border to a place called the Loop, but it takes me 1/2 an hour. The closest mall, Florida mall, is about 40 minutes away. All streets. I could hop on the turnpike for a few miles, but then you have to pay a toll :/

If you work out here than I think it would be ok, but if you don't, I would try to get closer to the area you will work in.
