This is most likely an already answered question.. I tried searching to no avail.

I used to use a site that allowed you to view individual crimes by zip code or area. For instance, it would say "Strong arm robbery 32847298374928347 1234 pine street" or something to that effect. I used to have it saved on my favorites and it has mysteriously disappeared.

Does anyone know of the website I'm speaking of or one that is like it?

Thanks!!

I would be interested as well.
We had our police department bring a map of our small town with each reported crime on it from over the last year I think it was and it was VERY insightful. BUT that was only when we had the Neighborhood Watch.

You might check on the Orange County Sheriffs Department website, that might be a starting place.

Hey Lindsey,

Unfortunately, I already checked the OCSD website but didn't find much of anything. If I remember correctly, the website I'm thinking of wasn't related to them.

Type in "police blotter" for the area you're looking for. they give daily reports. Then usually there are links to other more cumulative data. Sometimes it's a newspaper too not just the police. I know the site you mean, they even have a contest for the stupidest criminals on the blotters but I can't find it now either.

It's a bunch of burglaries and stolen cars just like any other suburban police blotter. I saw a few home invasions and strong armed robbery but how many people live in that zip code?

The list doesnt include "violent crimes." I believe it's only property crimes/burglaries. 2 men have been shot within a few miles of me, and it ain't on there. And, I heard today of an domestic dispute a couple miles away where a man killed his wife, but I havent seen that report yet.

O.K. I was thinking of moving to Orlando area but the more research I do the more nervous I get. A N.Y. neighbor of mine is moving to Port St. Lucie would this be a better choice to raise children ?
