Hello, my wife and I are considering moving near WDW and need to get an idea of where we might find quiet affordable apartment/condo rentals.

We have been to WDW a number of times and it seems to the SW, W and NW are more rural. Just how rural are they and are there any developments on that side worth looking into?

Any thoughts or opinions are appreciated.

The Formosa Gardens/ Four Corners area is pretty nice (34747 ZIP).
The areas In Winter Garden/Windermere are accessible to Disney and there are some nice condos. There is no real area to avoid in the general vicinity, just be careful about Kissimmee (34741, 34743, 34744) and parts of Metrowest (32835) where there are also a lot of condos.

I used to live in Alafaya, Waterford Lakes (35 minutes from WDW) loved it, but it is close to UCF, so when you're shopping you may run into college students. Don't go too rural, because you will be very sorry... I learned from that mistake in another area that I lived!

Thank you.

Not sure where we will be working yet so I can't be too specific about where to look. Jacksonville is not working for us so ... why not try somewhere else!

The best apartment complex in LBV in my opinion is Camden World Gateway: http://www.camdenliving.com/internet...ar_orlando.htm
or Alexandria Parc Vue at Lake Buena Vista
10651 Demilo Place
Orlando, FL 32836

Its practically on Disney property.

There are plenty of rental homes in that area also. Check out Craigslist.

Good luck!

Well if you like no sense of community, year round tourists and snow birds then you might like that area don`t forget lots of traffic.

If you are looking more for the normal Orlando then try Winter Park, Oviedo, Conway, Belle Isle.

There are others I can suggest if you need.
