Question Windermere Or Lake Mary

We will relocating soon from the UK. We have looked several times at Lake Mary and Windermere and felt that LM had the better schools and welcolming communities. Being so close to Disney and torist areas also worries me about Windermere. Would love to receive any input especially about the schools and living in these areas.
Thanks in advance

I generally think Windermere is a little nicer than Lake Mary. A more equivalent comparison would be Heathrow or Windermere. Olympia HS was a high performer in the Windermere area, just avoid West Orange HS. I do not think there is that much tourist activity in Windermere/Winer Garden. I think there is a little overlap in Dr Phillips because of Restaurant Row, but even then that area caters much more to Convention attendees than the theme park crowds. Anywhere north of the Mall at Millenia or Downtown Orlando is mostly free of tourists and caters more to the residents of the Orlando area.

I second that opinion. Lake Mary and Seminole County in general are know for their outstanding school.

My wife & I faced the exact same decision 11 years ago. We decided on Heathrow located inside the city of Lake Mary. One of the best decisions we ever made

My family and I (two kids - 5 yr old son & 8 yr old daughter and husband) are considering relocating to Orlando. Is Lake Mary preferred for good primary schools - any suggestions?

Is it better to rent or buy a home as a first timer to the Orlando area?
