Unhappy Hip to Hippy??

Where can a middle aged 30 year old shop for clothing other than the malls??? Shopping is soo different here than it is up north. I went to Payless yesterday to get some cheap flip flops so I asked the young lady at the register where can I go shopping for chic/contemporary outfits, she advised Target and Marshalls !!!!

And please, no offense if you shop at Target or of the sort . I'm just looking for nice modern outfits to wear to work or if I'm going to a nice lounge etc.

Don't know about Downtown, I pretty much avoided that whole area all together while I was there. I hated the malls there as well, but i found that the Premium Outlet stores in LBV always had good stuff and it wasn't filled with wannabe gangsters and obnoxious teenagers.

There is also the Orlando Premium Outlets (used to be the Beltz Factory Outlets). It has all the regular stores at the mall but clearance prices. I went there recently and it was great. Here's a link:
Orlando Premium Outlets - Orlando | BookIt.com® Travel Guide

What about Kohl's? Have you tried there? It is a step up from Marshals/Ross and has nice clothes at good prices.

LBV= Lake Buena Vista (Disney Area) Those outlets are really nice too!
