Default Oviedo armory?

Hi everyone..

we just closed on our home in Oviedo. We were driving around the area and behind our subdivision is Old Lockwood Blvd. We were tickled to see cows.. then a couple of blocks down we saw A TANK!!! I should have stopped to take photos, but it was like a bunker graveyard or armory or something. Does anyone out there know where I'm talking about? Anyone know anything about it?

It's a Vietnam War museum. From what I hear, it's very well kept. There's more to it than a tank. You should have seen a Huey helicopter, a PT boat, a simulated bunker, an A-4 Skyhawk jet (I think there's one there), and from what I hear, the inside of the museum has a model of a Vietnamese POW camp and other war items. It's run by the VVA I believe. I definitely regret never visiting it when I lived only a mile and a half from it for 20 years!

That is so cool! Thanks both of you for pointing that out. I've been in this area for 28 years and did not know that!
I'm going to go check it out!

Yeah, it peaked my interest too. I love the B-52 park by the airport and this is along the same thread.

Sadly, there are very few military memorials or displays in Central Florida. The closing of the Navy base took every last bit of military from Orlando...and people wonder why I have to stop and stare at any military aircraft flying overhead or a convoy of Humvees on the highway!
