I think McCain will not raise taxes, that would be one good thing, Obama wants change and If he institutes new social programs he will have to raise taxes to pay for them and in a economy that is suffering raising taxes is the worst thing you could do. Many people would like the corporations and rich people to pay for everything but they are the ones who control prices. Tax them and our day to day prices go up. Sure we pay less in taxes but all consumer goods go up just a little higher.

Well we now have all the tickets complete:

McCain/Palin
Obama/Biden
Nader/Gonzalez
Barr/Root

It seems like the biggest surprise of the vice presidential selections was McCain's selection of Palin for Vice President. I think it was a great choice and should seal the deal for all the Hillary Clinton supporters that are voting for McCain.

It will be interesting to see what these vice presedential candidates add to the tickets and what the results of such tickets will be for the country and for Florida?

I don't like either one, but war is more costly than any social program from a taxpayers standpoint. I generally agree with you, but I can't really stomach either. It's either costly war or costly socialism, pick your poison.

McCain passed over Tom Ridge, a decorated combat hero, a Cabinet secretary and the former two-term governor of the large, complex state of Pennsylvania.
He passed over Mitt Romney, who ran a big state, Massachusetts; a big company, Bain Capital; and a big event, the Olympics.
He passed over Kay Bailey Hutchison, the Texas senator who is knowledgeable about the military.
He passed over Joe Lieberman, his best friend in the Senate.
He passed over former congressman, trade negotiator and budget director Rob Portman.
And he also passed over Mike Huckabee, the governor of Arkansas.

I think the American public today wants our leaders to think outside the box. Governer Palin was that choice. Unfortunetly Biden was not. But lets see how it works out in November. For me as a Hillary supporter that was on the fence, Governer Palin sealed the deal.

Is it cause she's solely a woman? You can be honest. It's not about qualification is it? ..(You seem to want a woman just because she's a woman)...

I believe Governer Palin is very qualified, she has executive experience as a Mayor and Governer. I think its great that she is a woman and could possibly be the first female vice president of this country but that is not the only reason I support her. Although my ultimate wish is for Hillary Clinton to be the first female President in 2012.

Nothing wrong with that, nothing at all. I just wish if it were a woman, she'd be more like Hilary. That's all. She's more of a fighter in my opinion. Palin, pales in comparison to Hillary. No put intended.
