Default Universal Studios and IOA

I will be visiting these parks on 8/10/08 along with the Discovery Cove park. My question was how long the lines could be for these two parks around this time of year? Has anyone ever had an experience at the Discovery Cove Adventure?

If your staying in the on-site hotels you can show your room key and jump the lines, or you could buy an express pass for about $25( you still have to pay the entrance fee). 90 minute waits on the more popular rides are not uncommon during this time of the month, just get there early. Never been to Discovery Cove, sorry.

Discovery Cove is amazing. No worrying about lines and added cost of food. It is totally worth experiencing at least once. I hope you have fun and remember to bring your sunscreen and be prepared for our afternoon thunderstorms.

Since you're going on a Sunday...the lines shouldn't be too bad but you will notice the lines after about 11am. Get there at opening and you should be able to do some of the bigger rides before the crowds show up. You might consider buying the Express Plus passes but I would wait and see how it goes. The EP for 8/10 is $35.99 + tax per person.

I went with friends about 2-3 weeks ago. We paid for express passes for the rides and only waited about 15-20 minutes per ride. This was a Saturday afternoon when most of the waits for the normal line was quoted to be 60-90 minutes. They are definitely worth the extra expense for a more enjoyable experience.

go for the most popular rides first up, hulk, mummy, simpsons. spiderman those get the lines the most. Single rider line may separate you for the mummy but it is a quick way to ride it. Discovery is really nice... and expensive but worth it at least once.
