TXLADY, I couldn't have said it better myself. Me and my wife moved here 9 years ago and loved it, we now hate it here with a passion and are ready to give our house away so we can get out of here.

Could you elaborate as to why you hate it there so much. My husband & I want to leave the Boynton Beach area because most of the people in this area are down right rude & nasty. My husband & I also love it here when we first moved here in 2001! We don't want to make another mistake.
Thanks for your help.

I think alot of people don't like it here and im one of them , because it is Unorganized 47,ooo acre master planned community..and i say the later part very lightly..there is NOTHING master Planned about htis community except the way Avatar sucks all the money out of this place by. and GOD Forbid you ask THE APV ( association ) what there job is .. they won';t tell you they only tell you what there Job IS NOT!.. Im am so Sick OF Jeannet Coughnour and her Holy then Tho attitude..nothing that is Brought to the attention of Her is EVER there problem..its a MESS here...
another problem is there is alot of Renters in the Villages leading to less desirable neighborhoods..very run down looking.. and once again thats not there problem..I could really go one and on about it here.. but i won't becuase i can ***** about it until dooms day , but until they get rid of her and Avatar is told the way to go by the local govt ( polk and Osceola) there is nothing that is going to change...
You might want to brush up on your spanish...you'll need it when you go to walmart...

Can you tell me the pros & cons of the area. Thinking of moving into the adult community called Solivita. Please help.

solivita is behind a big wall .within the walls are only seniors and a golf course ,It is in the middle and i mean smack in the middle of a huge ghetto. And even solivita isn t all that nice .It a golf and country club ,but i have never seen a gncc with houses that are so small and avarge .just take a normal lower middle class area and put a wall around it ,remove the children and replace them with golfcarts. The houses are nothing to write home about.i dont even think tere are any estate homes in there.and dont forget you gotta come out from behind the walls sometimes

But those crimes where mostly in low, low income neighborhoods, drug related, etc. Lets keep that in mind. Yes, some were during robberies. You can all go to www.ocso.com which is unincorporated orange county and research the zip codes.

in the beginning it was a very quiet simple community. i started in the elementary and i was one of like five spanish kids in my class. as the years went by they began to develop more houses and retail stores in poinciana. And most of the time with suburbanization it comes from word of mouth to other folks. and poincicana isnt a place with expensive housing. so you end up with a bottom feeding group that comes in on low incomes and low intelligance. poinciana has now become a stagnant crowded corrupt smudge on american soil. My family left poinciana after we found out our next door neighbor was a child sex offender. people across the street were racist to spanish people. our cars were stolen from the inside. the only reason we didnt leave earlier was because we lived next to our church.that has now become a metting point for young kids to try and hook up. Everyone talks about rude puerto-ricans we are all not that rude. just the ones with a 2.0 gpa and dont care about anything but themselves in life. and before you even think about moving to poincicana, look at the towns next to it. Haine City? a city specificly to house illegal immigrants. and Kissimmee a town where it takes 5 minutes to get to any type of fast food but takes 6 hours to get treated at a hospital when all your finger bones have been broken(this actually happened to me). If you try to get a job it has become mandatory now to speak spanish instead of english. All of Central Florida has become an epicenter for crime wannabe gangs traffic and also the fact that around 70% of the people living in central florida only have their high school diploma has their highest form of education.

AJ67 you said before: "Its True most of the People in poinciana are Peurto Ricans, and some are ROUGH.."

Now you said "there are alot of RUDE young Pureto Ricans around here....so be prepared"

First, have the spelling correct "Puerto Ricans" second, are you against Puerto Ricans?

I will say that people can be ROUG or RUDE in any race.
