Toaj67
To aj67; Change is inevitable in and around cities. As a conmunity we should get toghether with county officials to address the problems, you see ,lets not blame only population growth ,, but management too.You said you are not racist, but i bet is clear to most of us that you have chosen a specific group to blame. Yes is true that things change for better or worse, what make of us succed in any situation is our approach to the problem, Why are you going to stay behind a wall?Of course you are going to find rude people, but you find those every where you go!At the same time you give a chance to the nice ones and yourself!

You are so right Change is inevitable...and its time the Inevitalbe steps up and gets rid of the Dead weight the APV has for a Manager!....Poinciana has been left to fend for its self...I think its time that something is done about making this area a township or something like that...its to big to much growth so quick....Avatar has a strong hold on this community.. but has'nt helped us to much.. Just take a look at the Traffic mess on marigold i have lived here 8 yrs and marigold seems to be in perpetual construction... people need to get their heads out of there you know whats and start planning for the funture of this community!
and as for the APV and Jeannet Coughnour she needs to GO!.. she is a do nothing!>.....

See Now because you have said that you will be labled as a Racist!....
It is a shame that people think like that because we give our opinion...
I read in the Local Paper yesterday ( the reporter) that they are having some sort of Crime Prevention Outing on April 26 given by the Osceola county Sherrifs and KPD. in Poinciana.. and along with that article they showed pictures ( and a story) about the crime and who commited it and guess what.. because of the POPULATION of Hispanics in Poincaina .. Most where Hispanic...Just because we NOTICE who is doing the crime and label them ( as do the news and and the news paper) does not mean we are Racist...
I have Plenty of Hispanic Freinds that say the same thing about the Element of Crime here in Poinciana..

Solevita is nice but anywhere in Kissimmee is crime ridden and full of gang members. We live in Kissimmee and are on our third move in 6 years, finally getting out and going to east Orlando.

I have figured out just what the purpose of th APV is...they go around Hunting down Law Obiding citizens who try to have a garage sale and pull down the signs.. while they let the Hot Wench at the end of the street sell Rotten Hot Dogs...
See Unless you want to live in a Police state don't move to Poinciana...

Do not know what your price point is but many people I know from around the country are shocked by the prices of the homes in Solavita. People drive around in golfcarts and there are varying price points but I have heard some people feel it is too high a price to live in retirement. That many people in the community hold down jobs to afford living there.

Solivita
DRIVING AROUND IN GOLF CARTS! YOU SAY IT LIKE IT'S A BAD THING! It's just a convenience, that's all. Some people go around on Bikes. That's not a bad thing either!
People drive around in golf carts, play tennis, softball, cards, go to shows, take classes, swim, exercise, go to shows, travel, the list is endless. That's what retirement is all about.
There is a wide range of homes in Solivita. It depends what someone is looking for and what they can afford. Those who HAVE to work, chose to purchase a home beyond their means. Many people there do not work. We just purchased a home that will be over 3,000 sq ft under air after it's built, & neither me nor my husband intend to work.
We living in a retirement community now but we do not have any golf carts.
What's your problem?

My wife and I purchased in Solivita and love it. Unfortunately we can be there only a few months out of the year as I am still working. (2yrs. to go). True, the traffic is bad but it will get better. You will find many interesting and diverse people in Solivita. We have had no problems shopping in stores around Solivita even tho we are not bilingual. I think you made a wise choice as I am about to go out into the sleet.
