I am looking for homes in the Orlando area and find it a bit surprising how cheap some the homes listed in the 32824 area code are. I know it's a buyers market but I have seen 4br/3bath/ 2600 sq ft. homes for 150k. It can't be THAT much of a buyers market down there, right?

Yeah home prices are dropping like crazy. That area is not too bad. Its generaly considered Southchase and a little bit further North its called Taft nicknamed (train after f'in train) because of all the tracks. Also, just south of the airport it is a industrial area. Its mostly hispanic and there is also a small golf course there too. Its not too bad but its not great either. Its also very close to the Florida Mall and Hunters Creek as well as the airport. I would check it out if I were you.

Now, is there a airplane noise problem because of the proximity of the airport? |
