I was wondering if anybody knows where to get them? In Houston, where I just came from, there was an abundance of places where you could get them. I'm not sure where to get them here, and I attempted to make homemade tortilla chips last night at home. Since I've never made them before, they didn't come out well at all. :-(
I see these little Cuban markets around, but I hadn't been in any. Do Cubans like to make tortillas homemade just like Mexicans? Specifically, are there any places that sell the above around Kissimmee, which is where I live now? Thanks in advance! |

I know the Whole Foods here in Columbus Ohio makes them. And they are WONDERFUL. I do know there are two Whole Foods in the Orlando area (one in Winter Park and one at Turkey Lake and Sand Lake Rds). I cannot say for sure if they make them there.....just know that my Whole Foods here makes them.
Worth checking into anyway. ![]() Good luck. Ain't nothin' like a homemade tortilla! |

I greatly appreciate the reply! I actually discovered a little hole-in-the-wall Mexican restaurant last night right on 192 (next to La Hacienda, a Mexican market), and they make their own chips. I got some, and they were pretty good. They don't have the authentic salsa that I crave, but I tried a Houston friend's recipe for salsa, and it came out pretty well.
I will have to check out Whole Foods here & see if they have them. |
