Default Teaching Jobs Available In Orange Co.

How Is Teaching In Orange County? Is it really expensive to live there? I heard that living in Florida is expensive now because of the busy tourism trade. Is that true in Orange County? bkinzler

I have two children teaching in Orange County.
Salaries start around 35K with a bachelors.
Plenty of jobs.
Housing........expensive........median price of new homes well over 200K.
Can't buy any kind of home that you would want to live in for less than
that.
Market is soft...........might find a deal.

I have two children (6 & 12), my husband is thinking of taking a job in the Orlando area. I teach Business education and am concerned about finding a job and adequate housing. What is the best way to seek employment in the teaching arena? Also, how are the schools? We currently live in Auburn, Al and our school system is ranked nationally. Any advice would be appreciated.

Orange and Seminole counties are both A rated school districts. Pretty much all of Seminole county schools are good. Orange county also has a lot of good schools but there are also some not so great schools. like just west of downtown and in the tourist areas.
