Best time to visit Disney?
I have family wanting to come visit for 2 weeks, between late October and late November. Since Thanksgiving is November 27th when would be the best time? When does it start to get busy at the theme parks for the Thanksgiving holiday? They have a young child with them and looking to avoid the crowds.
Thanks

Thanksgiving week will be busy. Go up to the week before.
Check out Mickey's Not so Scary Halloween party...it's a limited halloween party at the MK from 7:00 pm to midnight. You can get it at 4:30 and get a band on your hands. Most guest wear optional costumes (including adults and kids). Disney characters pass out candies at various locations around the park. Check the WDW website for it. Do not go on Halloween night, it will be packed. Also, Disney Villians will come out!

The best time to go to Disney is the middle of sept. to the first or second week in nov. It is very busy Thanksgiving week through to New years .

I went on Labor Day and it was great....except the heat! I would suggest late October through mid November because the crowds are low and the temps are not so bad.
Have fun!

I've been to Disney many times through the years before I moved to Orlando. I always enjoyed Oct/early Nov and March the best. It's cooler and less people are there. Holidays are always full. As Kali's Grandma suggested, check the WDW planning guide for a calendar of other special events that cause the parks to be extra full.

The posters above are right. Living in Orlando for so long though, I have always wondered why people push through 12 hour days in the parks. I always told my sister to extend her vacay, visit the parks in the afternoon and go to the beach/shopping/other during the day so she could enjoy her time and not half-kill her kids.
She always said "Spoken like a guy who lives there!" I guess spending $50 to visit the parks versus someone who spends $2,000 to fly down and visit gives a different perspective!
I always found the water parks to be absolutely perfect in late September and October. Less crowds, great weather.

Agreed......years ago when we took the kids we did a park one day, water park the next, back and forth......it was great....we went in October...the best month to go, IMHO. The water parks were relaxing and helped us plan the next day.
Now that we are moving to Florida, 30 minutes from there, I cannot wait to go there all the time....WITHOUT KIDS !!!

Disney Waterparks in October......Is water too cold?
Hello everyone:
I am planning a trip to Disney and wanted to know if anyone had been there in October and how the water felt at the waterparks. I need 80-90 degree water temps to be comfortable with the kids and the waterpark is a "MUST" for them. When do you suggest going to avoid the crowds but still have good enough (warm) weather to go to the waterparks?
Also the best places to stay?????
