We are moving from the Atlanta area (NE Gwinnett if anyone is familiar) to the Orlando area. Our parameters are from Clermont to Sanford to Kissimmee. We are very open because our jobs have us traveling the entire metro area. We are moving from an area that is extremely diverse, has good schools, and people are small-town friendly (ex...as in your grocer and dry cleaners know you by name and greet you when you walk in walk). I like a home-town family atmosphere and I will miss the change of weather and hills. Any chance I can find something even remotely comparable in Orlando?

Oviedo, lake Mary, winter springs and some areas of Winter park. Also downtown in the Thornton park neighborhood or the Eola heights neighborhood.
College park off of Edgewater has some nice neighborhoods also and is just outside Downtown. |

Oviedo would be the best choice if you want the small town feel with excellent schools.

I'm in Oviedo. I'd have to agree: Oviedo, Winter Springs, Lake Mary would have to be among my top choices.
Edit: Since you travel, live close to the main roads - I4 or 417. The traffic and road system here is atrocious. There are good spots in Oviedo and Winter Springs near 417. |

It all depends on whether you are bilingual.
![]() Seriously, I agree withe the other posters. We are still in a temporary location, but will probably end up locating at one of the areas mentioned above. When you drive around Orlando you can really tell the difference between one area and the next. Another couple of major factors to consider is traffic congestion and how clean the area looks. |

My husband and I would like to move to Celebration Florida. Is it possible to get a block construction home for under $350,000? I'm not sure about having a wood frame house in florida. Is there anyone living in Celebration who may be able to give me some input?

Thank you so much for your advice. We will be down in the next couple weeks and are definitely looking into Oviedo, Lake Mary, & Winter Springs in that order. Also my husband found some homes in Eustis that he wanted to check out...anyone hear anything about that city?

Eustis is further out there.. I'd rather take LM,WS,Oviedo over Eustis if I had to travel all over the metro area for work.
