My husband just got provoted in his job and they are relocating us to Orlando. I have 3 boys ranging from 2 years old and up. We have been looking on the internet for houses to rent. The areas I see that we will be able to afford are Apopka (not South), Wekiva Springs and Ocoee. How are those neighborhoods?
Than you for any help. Michele |

All those areas are fine but all a good distance from downtown (assuming that's where the job is). It really comes down to where you are working. Out of those three I would recommend Wekiwa Springs and Apopka over Ocoee for convenience. Overall, I think Wekiwa Springs is the best, but that's just my opinion.

My husbands job is right on N Orange Blossom Trail. The house I found in Ocoee is only 10 min from there. Wekiva Springs is about 20 min away. Do you think the Ocoee area would be good for my family or would you just choose Weiva Springs area? Thanks for the help

Wekiva Springs is nicer, but there are nice areas of Ocoee too. There are also not as nice areas of Ocoee and it is closer to high crime areas like Pine Hills and OrloVista. Wekiva Springs is overall a nicer, quieter older area with great amenities and schools.

I would choose Wekiva Springs over the other two.

If that's the case than Wekiwa Springs. Much better for families. Ocoee is not bad but as Wilshire stated, it is surrounded by some rough areas. Wekiwa is very good for schools, parks and other amenities that cater to young families.
