Default Moving to Orlando

I am considering moving to Orlando. I am not afraid of crime because it is everywhere but I was interested in Gated Communities away from the tourist. I was looking at The Arbors at Maitland Summit. Does anyone have any feedback on this Development or Neighborhood. Is it near Orange Blossom Trail? I did not hear good things about that area.
Please help. Thank you.

The part of Orange Blossom Trail that people are referring to is not in this general area. Maitland is a nice area, but the area you are referring to is west of I-4 so my only concerns for you there would be that you get closer to areas of Forest City and Lockhart that are not all that nice. At the same time though, you are close to Winter Park and College Park which have great restaurants and shopping. If you had a chance to live in one of those areas or in Maitland east of I-4 it would be a little nicer than that area.

The Arbor's are a really nice neighborhood. I've had friends that have lived in the neighborhood and loved it, and another friend just signed a lease to move there in january.

I used to live in Orlando near the mall. It was a decent neighborhood. Not much crime, people were nice and everyone kind of worked together to keep the neighborhood clean and safe. If you went right on the strip you would go over the bridge to the mall and if you went left you would be at universal studios strip; always something to do and see on the strip never boring in Orlando. I wish I was back there now.
