Hello, I'm new to this site. I'm planning to move to Altamonte Springs, Florida in a few months. I want to know about the job situation (in the administration, human resources area) how easy or hard it is to buy a car, rent and apartment, get drivers license, open a bank account, about doctors, exercise facilities, churches (nondemonational) etc. Where can I go online to find out some of this info? Your help is greaty appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Bye for now. |

Buying a car shouldn't be any more of a problem here than anywhere else. I believe you have 6 months after you establish residency to change your drivers lisence to a FL lisence. There are quite a few apts in the Alt Spgs area - but it might be worth your while contacting "Apartment Hunters." They will have a broad base of available places. Banks are in abundance, as are drs & local gyms. Gym memberships can range from $11/month to $75/month. There are lots of churches in the area, but don't limit yourself to non-denominational places - many of the "traditional" denominations may have worship styles that would be what you're looking for. 'Not sure about the job situation - someone else will have to address this one.
