If you are new person it goes by the millage of your address of the county you are in. You can check the millage by going to property appraiser site for your county. polk county goes from 16.000 to 20.75. per thousand of appraised value minus the homestead exemption. But you cant go by anyone's tax. THey get special rate by being existing homeowner
