Moving from NYC to Orland..please help..

Why on earth would you pick this dump?? Are you Puerto Rican, because the only New Yorkers I know that move here are Puerto Ricans because of the large Puerto Rican population. The rest of the New Yorkers are far too smart to pick this dump

I don't know, I am now living in Winter Garden, consider myself fairly intelligent, non Puerto Rican NYer and I am as happy here as I had planned to be. Granted I learned very quickly to avoid the Penn Hills area...some very angry people/drivers ready to run you down...but others very willing to give (pretty good) directions.
I also coincidentally ran into 2 people today (seperately) one from my home town and another from another town I spent 8 yrs in and (both White, non-Puerto Rican and quite intelligent) said they love Orlando and would never move back to LI, NY. I have only been here for a week and have been invited onto a coed softball team by complete strangers and offered 2 jobs.
I am convinced that if you are polite and wear a friendly smile you will be happy in the Orlando area and just about anywhere.

this will be my last post. i'm going back to the orlando i've been experiencing since i got here: chatting with nice ppl in coffeehouses, meeting good ppl at church, all of my new friends and the great time ive been having.
