Default Thoughts on Longwood and Bella Vista...

I'll be relocating to the Orlando area & would appreicate any information on Longwood - crime, schools, amenities, how long does it take to the airport

If anyone has specific information regarding Bella Vista by Deluca Homes in Longwood that would be great

Thanks

Longwood is a nice established area with good schools. It is about 30-45 minutes to the airport in Orlando, about 10-15 to the one in Sanford. The trip to the Orlando airport can be MUCH longer in traffic.

I'm surprised they call this area Longwood because this is actually more Altamonte Springs. I went to school right around this area and it's a great area. Very safe and for most part very family oriented community. It's also a well established area, tends to be much less transient than other areas, many families in that area have been there for decades. Great schools, Forest City Elementary is right down the road and Lake Brantley H.S. right across the street. Teague used to be in same area but moved. Lake Brantley is first class academics and strong athletics. You will find no lack of amenities in that areas. Restaraunts, shops, malls, you name are all there. I know it sounds like I"m overhyping it but bare in mind I grew up in that area so I have alot of fond memories. The only real downside is TRAFFIC. 436 can be horrendous at times. Travel to downtown is about 15 -20 min no traffice 30-45 min in traffic. Other than that I would rate this area pretty highly.

Both Longwood and Altamonte Springs extend to the east and west of Interstate 4. If you leave west of I-4 and take 414 and I-4 to downtown, the drive can be done in less than 15 minutes. If you leave east of the interstate in either city, double the time.

Seminole County is known for excellent schools. A plus living in Seminole for sure.
