I looked at a few houses over there a couple of years ago and wasn't impressed with that immediate area. I ended by buying in 32818 but it's north of where you're looking. I haven't had any issues in my neighborhood.

I'm also in 32818 and this isn't a bad area. You are just west of the official Pine Hills area which gets bashed a lot.
Nice roads and good shopping within reach.
