There are some major projects like the VA Hospital/Med school, but other than that, there are a lot of subdivisions and projects on standstill. Like real estate, this is a field that is not really conducive to relocation.

A lot of the projects I knew about have been cancelled or postponed like The Current at Lee Vista. There is a Waldorf Astoria and Hilton going up on the westside of Disney. There are some more hotels going up in the airport area and the Convention center that I know about like aloft and Element. The dates they are coming seem to keep being pushed out though. I am sure someone will be able to refer a better site for this type of news though. I am sorry. I think there has been a dramatic slowdown for the most part though.

The new arena downtown will begin construction in the foreseeable future.
With thousands and thousands of locals already out of work in the various construction fields, the chances of finding work in that industry is very, very, very slim if you don't already have local references or belong to one of the local unions.
