If you look on the map, Dr Phillips is pretty much a little way North East of Disney still on the west side(just) of I4 along the same lines as Winter garden and Windermere. you can go to google maps and just type in Dr phillips Orlando and it should pull it up for you.

Dr. Phillips is the area west of I-4 along Sand Lake Road. Some of the main roads that go through there if you look at a map are Apopka-Vineland, Dr Phillips Blvd, and Turkey Lake. The areas south of Conroy are the nicest. Dr. Phillips when you look into it is divided into smaller sub areas as well like Bay Hill, Palm Lake, etc.

I outlined the main part of the Dr. Phillips area. Check out the Apopka Vineland Road from Conroy Windermere Road all the way down (South). Check out Dr. Phillips Blvd from Conroy Winermere Road all the way down. Check out Conroy Windermere Road between Apopka Vineland to Dr. Phillips Blvd. Hopefully that makes sense lol. Click on the message below about how viewing the orginal size.

The best area to raise a kid in Orlando is seminole county. Dont live in orange county period(orlando is in this county). Seminole county has a much better school system than orange county

Orange County is much bigger than orlando. I guess thats why one of if not the most affluent areas (Windermere) is in Orange county. I think that type of generalization is just ignorant.

I agree with you cfIan as usual. There are plenty of nice areas and good schools in Orange County. I would avoid Osceola County for the most part and I would be picky about Orange County, but Dr Phillips HS, Olympia HS, Boone HS, Timber Creek HS and Winter Park HS all do pretty well on performance reviews. You can pick a very decent neighborhood in Orange County within one of these districts or get a boundary exception.

And basing your assumption that everyone has the money to live in these neighborhood is ignorant as well. I know many ppl living all over seminole co that would never live anywahere in orange co because the school system is so much worse in orange co. So you can yell Dr. phillips all you want, but what about Oviedo, Longwood, lake mary, heathrow?

Dr Phillips is not the only area though. There is Winter Park, Baldwin Park, Conway, Delaney Park, Thornton Park, Belle Isle, Lake Nona, College Park, Maitland, all these areas around the core and some outliers that make up solid neighborhoods with great schools (College Park has a bad HS though).

I think this post has just proved how narrow minded you are and have no idea about what is in Orange County. Winter Garden is a very nice area which offers a great deal of affordable homes. There are a great many areas in Orange county which have affordable homes in great neighbourhoods with great schools, and quite frankly you do in particular those schools a disservice which are extremely good by bad mouthing an entire area. People like to keep going on about Seminole county, but quite frankly the way that the statistics are pulled leaves alot to be desired. Seminole county has just like anywhere else its fair share of bad schools. Trying to suggest otherwise is unrealistic, just as saying every school in Orange county is.

I used Windermere as a perfect example of how wrong you are. There are a great many other areas i could have chosen. Its good to see that there are realistic people on these threads like Wilshire who understand and can try to offer a balanced argument, rather than the completely biased nonsense which tends to be offered by a great many people on these threads.
