You aren't going to find all of that here, just not possible.
Winter Springs has great schools and is safe, but traffic can be brutal depending on where you need to commute to.
I don't believe there is any such thing as no traffic jams anywhere in Central Florida. Tthat's just a sad fact of life here.

Don't believe the hype!!! Orlando traffic is nothing compared to other major cities (Atlanta, New York, LA, etc...). It is all relative.

I do not think traffic is that bad either. Just avoid a commute that forces you to use I-4. Also just be careful, because more than a lot of traffic, there are a lot of aggressive and quite frankly stupid drivers. There is a lot of red light running, not signaling, not paying attention at four way stops, U turns done unwisely, people distracted by cell phones and/or text messaging. I mean, I am sure you get this everywhere else, but Florida cities are pretty bad in this regard. I am normally fine and sometimes do not even notice it, but this morning I was almost backed into in a parking lot and I had someone skip their turn on a three way stop and almost hit me. Just drive cautiously. I think areas that are safe with good schools include Winter Park (32789), the area around Boone HS, SW Orlando (just be wary of West Orange HS), and almost every city in Seminole County is good (the safest are Oviedo, Winter Springs, Lake Mary, Longwood).

Taking off my realtors cap and speaking purely as a husband and a father of an 8yr old dughter i would have to say Dr Phillips, Winter Garden, Windermere, which is why i live there. traffic is not bad, great schools, great new shopping. People always slam Orlando traffic. I guess they must all live on I4 or have made the mistake to live slap bang in the middle of the tourist area which common sense tells you is going to be busy. Everyone also goes on about Seminole Couty schools which are good, but dont be disillusioned, there are great schools all over. Are there bad schools aswell? Of course, but Semminole County also has its share of bad schools.
You need to get a balance of finding a good school for your kids, and being in an area which is going to offer you the best/most effective commute time, along with an area/community which offers you everything you want in terms of every day living along with safety and a great lifestyle. Keep in mind, what i enjoy doing in my spare time may not neccessarily be what you enjoy. It is al relative as the other poster said.

I have to say though, there is no city that you are going to find no crime, good public schools and no traffic jams. I would go with the things that you KNOW you would like. Making sure the public school system is a good one. Crime and traffic jams can be prepared for but there is no substitute for the public school system without paying tons of $$ for private school IN WHICH CASE your children will NOT get the same type of cultured education as they would from a public school.

LOL, about 10-15 yrs too late, lol. This would have been possible yrs ago, but we seem to be the home for a lot of malcontents, so more people on the roads (rude ones at that), crime is up and at an all-time high now, and good schools... not sure Orlando ever really had a reputation for having "good" schools. Just speaking the truth, not trying to discourage you. Have you thought of other places?

If you live in Dr. Phillips, you have good public schools and won't have to worry about dealing with traffic unless you choose to. You won't have to ever drive on the highway to get groceries, take the kids to school, shop, dine out, or get a haircut etc.
