Default Moving to Orlando?

Hi I'm new to this forum. My girlfriend applied to a nursing job at the Florida hospital since their are no jobs here Jacksonville for new nurses. We were just down there Thursday for her interview and she should hear back next week if she got the job.

i have been looking through some of the other posts about places to live. I wanted to know about apartments in the Millenia Mall area. How is the crime rate near that area? I have read that MetroWest/Conroy area is bad. We are just trying to find a safe, nice, affordable place to live. Also, if anyone knows any places hiring (for me) that would be helpful as well. The job market in Jacksonville isn't to good. Thanks.

The Millenia and Metrowest areas are very nice and pretty, but they are not the safest areas since they are close to some worse off areas. The job market is not that great in Orlando or anywhere in the state, so it is not a good idea to move just for that reason. If something gets lined up, then that may be another story.

The best parts of town are centrally located like downtown, Winter Park, Baldwin Park, Maitland, College Park, Conway, etc. and the North end of town (Altamonte, Lake Mary, Longwood) NE Seminiole county (Oviedo, Winter Springs), West Orange County (Winter Garden, Dr Phillips) and some areas of South Orlando like Hunters Creek, Williamsburg, Lake Nona, Celebration.

Avoid Parramore, Pine Hills, Oak Ridge (Millenia/OBT area), Sky Lake (FL Mall area), Kissimmee, Beuna Ventura Lakes, Azalea Park, Goldenrod, Union Park and Lockhart.

There are Florida Hospital locations throughout the area, so you will have to come back for more guidance when you know which you one your gf will be working at.

I am new to this, and not quite sure how to post. But this is related. I plan to relocate to Florida, Longwood area. I am a substance abuse counselor and would like some information on how to find work in my field. Does anyone know of Treatment Hospitals or Rehabs for addiction, or other places I could contact about work in this area? This would be a tremendous help.

Hi there, if you are looking in Orlando for work, also search Lake Mary as they have a huge business district of jobs.

In orlando for apartments, there is a great one on Central Florida Parkway and International Drive, not in the tourist district called Cumberland Park Apartments, Brand New, truly, I just moved into a unit that was never been lived in and the prices are great too for what you get.
