Default moving to Lake Mary area...best way to find job?

I am wanting to locate from Texas to the Lake Mary area. Any pointers for finding jobs in healthcare? I am a licensed social worker, performance improvement and risk management director of a psychiatric hospital. Thanks for any helpful advice.

Try the Hartford Insurance Co. My wife is a nurse and works there a a case manager. Do a google for The Hartford. Great company to work for. As for a hospital there is Central Fl. Region Hospital in Sanford.

When I was moving here from NJ, I went to OrlandoSentinal.com and careerbuilders.com which is how I got a job before even moving here.

Best wishes!

There are a lot of hospitals here in Central FL, as we have a ton of old people and a lot of people get shot or stabbed on the street by crazy people. We have a ton of crazies. You will have plenty of patients, no doubt about it. Social workers will have to speak Spanish here, don't even try to get a social worker/pshyche jobs here w/o speaking Spanish with a high degree of fluency.

Now, the high Texas wage and low cost of living you are used to in Texas will completely change in FL. Cost of living here is at least twice the cost of living in Texas and the wages here will certainly suck.

I am telling you, not out of ignorance or lack of comparables. I know what I am talking about as my stepdad lives in Temple, TX and he moved there from Orlando and he said TX is truly a "paradise for professionals and young couples". He said he would never come back to FL to live and work... he will not come back until he is retired.

Another reality check for everyone. Last week on the local news a guy robbed a convenience store and was actually compassionate about it. He stated that his bills are due and nobody would hire him. "Sorry I have to do this",he said. Folks this is Orlando!!!
This is the state of affairs...I am losing many of my jobs in legal to Spanish speaking people. moonbeam p.s trying desperately to hang onto my self-respect and optimism

Check out Lakeside Alternatives...with your background it may be a good lead. Howie
