Where is the best state of the art hospital in Central Florida?
We are considering moving to Central Florida at retirement age...some 20-25 years from now, but we are also thinking of looking now and financing our golden years nest.
The question is this: we would like to be near (within 20 minutes of) a "state of the art" hospital, that has a reputation of always trying to be up to date with the best care and doctors. No one knows what old age will bring. Where in central Florida is the best state of the art hospital?

Currently ORMC is the Level One Trauma Center and Florida Hospital is considered one of the best for general care and surgery.
Twenty years from now, who knows?
That said, the most state of the art isn't always the best for geriatric related illnesses. Often the local community hospitals provide better more personalized care.

yeah orlando in general is full of doctors and quality care, both ORMC and Florida hospital have cancer centers, and Florida hospital has a heart specialty center, and they are about 6 miles away from each other also. you'll be in good hands no matter where in central florida you live. by the way ORMC is in downtown Orlando, and Florida Hospital is in Winter Park, and both hospitals are surrounded by specialty private physcians and practices.
