Apartment Complexes around Valencia CC safe compared to Pine Hills? (lease, condo)

I currently live in Pine Hills or Crime Hills how some call it. I found a nice place right across from Valencia Community College called Island Club Apartments. I went to a site that has reviews for apartment complexes and suffice it to say that the ones for Island Club were not that favorable but then again there have only been 2 reviews since November 08. I would like to know if it really is that bad safety wise. Is it better then Pine Hills? Im a single mom with 2 kids (13 and 5) and dont have a high income so I am limited to areas. Should I bother signing a lease here or should I keep looking?

lol, i thought this posting was a joke at first. almost any move from pine hills would be a step up, with the exception of a few ghetto areas. but definitly a condo anywhere near valencia would be way better than any condo in pine hills.

Well the apt complex is right on kirkman, which I've read is noooo good. Is it still better then Pine Hills? LOL I just don't want to go from bad to worse or just as bad LOL

Beanie, if you need to stay near that area, I'd check out some of the complexes on Metrowest Blvd or Lake Debra Drive (which is the safest section IMHO).....

Of course, I don't know exactly what your budget is, but they are worth investigating!
