Default Longwood vs. Lake Mary vs. Winter Springs

We are relocating this summer and trying to decide where we should buy. I am noticing that Longwood seems to have a lot more houses built on larger lots in our price range (under $300). We have 2 dogs and prefer a nice size yard. Can anyone comment on the safety of this area compared to Lake Mary and/or Winter Springs? Or anything else to consider or be wary of? Thank you for any comments

I live in Longwood bordering Lake Mary. Longwood is just as nice as Lake Mary. You do get more for your money in Longwood. . The schools are good in all the areas. I think you've definately chosen a good area! They are all safe areas. It is very convenient in this area. We have all the shopping you could imagine with restaurants, entertainment, YMCA and parks. What type of neighborhood are you looking for? Size of house? Maybe I can recommend a few.

Thank you. We are looking for 2000 sq. ft. 3+ beds, 2 +baths, large yard (or decent) and a pool. A good safe area for my 10 year old to make friends. Older homes are ok too, maybe even preferred.

I think from what you said, Longwood sounds like the right fit especially west of I-4 in the Lake Brantley area where there are older, large homes. The Wekiva area may be worth a look too.

Longwood and Lake Mary would have the most homes that match your criteria, but the Tuskawilla Country club area in Winter Springs also has great properties that will match what you are looking for.

I actually just worked with a couple with very similar criteria to yours and know of many out there to choose from.

What price range? All those mentioned are great ideas!
