Default May be moving to Orlando, and need some advice

I may be stationed in Orlando. I am looking for advice about the surrounding area and where a good place to purchase a house is.

My Wife will also be looking for a job once we get there, she is a Teacher.

I am looking for the best areas to live, with a low crime rate and good to great schools.

Someone in the area could you please advise me where the best area to purchase a home would be. Appreciate your time.

There are NO teaching jobs here. NONE.

Where exactly will you be stationed? This is a very spread out area.

I will be working as Army Acquistions Working with the industries down there. I think BAE and Lockhead Martin I think are down there.

I am willing to drive up to 30 minutes if needed.

My kids are 14 and 2 years.

Wife is a Bilingual (Spanish and English) teacher, as well as holds a MBA in IT.

I am not from that area but the wife and I are moving there at the end of this year. We both do not care much for the big city so we are looking into smaller areas. We are thinking about Seminole County. From my research and from what others on this forum has told me, the following seem to be real nice areas.
Lake Mary
Altamont Springs
Windermere
Sanford
Clermont
(all of these towns have websites)

Sandford is the furthest away from Orlando. It is about 26 miles or 32 minutes. Minus of course the traffic. Good Luck!

Seminole County has the best schools. The best school districts, by High School are:

Lake Mary
Lake Brantley
Oviedo
Winter Park
Dr. Phillips

I may have missed some and invite others to fill in the gaps.

How are figuring that Dr. Phillips is at the top of the list? According to the link you provided, GreatSchools rates Dr.Philliips an 8 while the rest of the highschools listed by Crane's Rooster rate a 9 or 10.

Check the Florida School Grades Accountability Reports as well. It searches by county.
