Default Hawk's Nest subdivision, Metrowest

Anyone live there? I drove through it. It seemed a bit bland and cookie cutter, but very peaceful and quiet, and near to things.

Hawksnest is a great little community.... I think the reason why everything looks so cookie cutter is because every house is painted almost exactly the same exterior color... and so are the tile roofs.

However, it is quiet and the HOA includes complete lawn care...and some lots are on the golf course.

I believe it is zoned for Metrowest Elementary, Gotha Middle, and Olympia High.... which last time I checked are all A rated schools.

That's why I thought it was bland--every house is either off white or yellowish. Maybe it has to do with the HOA. But it's very clean and nice there.

What about crime?

Well, I'm sure that you will have many people come in here and start bashing the fact that it is in Metrowest and crime sucks there...

While I would agree that there are parts of Metrowest that aren't as desireable as they were a few years ago, Hawksnest is on the "good side" :P

Agreed, I know someone who lives there, and it's one of the few communities in Metrowest that I'd ever suggest. Check about teh HOA rules on renting first if you were planning on buying it as an investment property. I know at one point they were considering regulating the percentage of homes that could be rentals at any given time. (Which isn't a bad idea IMHO.)

Any idea how much the smaller houses there run for?

I agree that MetroWest has some dubious areas. With the Hawk's nest it would be obvious if someone was prowling though. There's no reason to be in there unless you live there or are visiting someone there.
