Relocating
We are looking for a single family home within about 40+/- minutes of WDW. Our daughter will be living there. Suggestions for areas would be greatly appreciated. Have looked in Kissimmee and surrounding areas, many opportunities few results. Market is very confusing. Using realtor or two in area. thanks

Depending on your budget, Conway, Windermere, Doctor Phillips, maybe Ocoee or Winter Garden. Kissimmee has some undesirable areas, but I don't know that much about it.

Will your daughter be working or going to school?
BTW--I wouldn't suggest Ocoee, it's just one big old extension of Crime Hills anymore. Yuck!

East Orlando is very nice but definitely on the upper limit of your 40 min commute. Lake Nona area, Avalon Park, would all be worth checking out. Rt. 417 goes straight to Disney from these areas so the commute would be direct at least. The market is confusing everywhere, don't worry. Go with your heart.

You could try Clermont. It's North on Hwy 27 from Kissimmee. I used to live there and we were about 25 minutes from Disney. It depends on what you are looking for in terms of shopping, etc.

HI op
I would suggest providing us with what your price range is. That way we can give you a much better idea. Also are you considering both single family homes and townhomes and what size in terms of square footage and number of beds/baths

It is? I haven't really been through there but I was under the impression that it was ok (I knew Apopka has some bad areas.) Sorry for giving bad advice!

The north end of Clermont is really nice, lots of shopping and restaurants, a movie theater, pleces of worship, etc.

UCF Area
Hey, Waterford Lakes is a great community. It has less crime, and is close to UCF. I would think about 45 minutes or less to WDW. Lots of shopping close by, gym, resteraunts, there are alot of houses to rent in the area, and if she is looking for a roomie, can probably get a nice college going girl to share rent.

Where did the OP ever say she was going to UCF?
