That won't work b/c when you hand in the high school transcripts, it's going to show a NJ high school.

We just went thru this w/my daughter --
Here's how it works for college -- you have to be a Florida resident for 12 months -- so that means you have to have a driver's license (or state id) for 12 months. The only exception is if you are a legal dependent whose parent have lived in FL for, I think at least 12 months.

Iit was easy for us when my DD joined us down here to finish college since we'd already been here over a year & claimed her on our taxes. She just brought her license & a copy of our tax return and she (luckily) just had to pay instate rate.

It sounds like you are just making the move so you'll have to wait the 12 months before getting instate rate.

Sorry but it looks like you will pay out-of-state for the first year. they do check you paperwork so there is really no way around that.
