Skateboarding in Celebration
My son is an avid skateboarder, and I was wondering if it was allowed in Celebration, and if so, where? Would he be allowed to skate in the street in front of our house, or in our driveway? Is there a skate park nearby? What about the recreational areas in Celebration?

It's illegal to skate (roller, board, heelies, etc.) on any public sidewalk, parking lot, or roadway in Florida. I've seen no skateboarding signs in CElebration, so I don't think it's allowed there. The only skate park I know of is by Festival Bay Mall, although there might very well be others that I'm not aware of. Highly doubt there's one in Celebration.

For a cummunity that doesnt want you on your front proch after 11 pm... I doubt you will find them opening their arms to skateboards. There is a park just to the West of the downtown airport.

I spend a good many week-ends in Celebration and I've never seen anyone "standing" on wheels of any kind. Even the wheels of my car turn very s-l-o-w-l-y driving through there. Been warned repeatedly about the strict speed limit.

You can ride a bicycle on the street, but not on the sidewalks.

They have restrictions on window treatments, I remember that from when we went to look there many years ago. There was no way I was going to be forced to put a specific type of matching blinds on every window in my home.
Don't get me wrong, I'm very anti-paper shades and newspaper and bedsheets, etc. and want tasteful window treatments on my windows. But Celebrations rules were excessive. (One of the newer subs in Windermere has the same ridiculous rule.)
