Wanted to make a move to Orlando, Florida but is it the best move?
I'm planning to move to Orlanda Florida and i'm alittle skeptical on relocating myself again...i recently moved back to South Bend, Indiana to help my mom and grandma. While helping as much as i could i enrolled into Criminal Justice program at ITT Tech Institute...But with jobs being so scarce and i do have to work. A friend of mines that is residing in Florida was telling me about the area and the opportunity there and that i can get an position as Correctional Officer or Probation. It was also told to me that there are some good colleges there that i might be interested in enrolling into also..Are there any position that affords relocation?....Is the information that i recieved worth my time or should follow my first mind afnd try else where?

No correctional, probation, or LEO job is going to pay for your relo if that's what you're asking. People are getting laid off from those types of jobs in this area, so it might be a few years after the economy recovers before there will be openings.

some advice don't move to Orlando without securing a job first since the economy here isn't that great or you have enough savings to carry you for several months.

A little bit of advice... don't move to Orlando at all. The economy is terrible right now and everything is so expensive here.

I'm not sure that I could agree that "everything is so expensive here." It's not a cheap place to live, but it's a lot less expensive than many other places are, that's for sure!

average wages are also lower than up north....this might be the reason why things are expensive!

Having lived in South Bend IN for 4 years, the rent and other prices are about 25% cheaper than in the Orlando area.
Personally, it is really hard all over with the job market.
If you have a place that is paid for (ie. living with relatives) stay there.
If I did not have a job offer, I would not have moved to Orlando.
