If it was built since 2005 and you have military in your background USAA would be a great choice.
State Farm is not a choice...
Mine is with Nationwide. but there are cheaper around.

Was looking for suggestions as well. I called USAA as AONE suggested, and it was great. Got a very good rate, and even saved over $600 on my auto. Had AIG and didn't think they would beat it and they did by $600.

USAA in your case will be the best way to go.

I recently moved down to Orlando from Northern Virginia and I'm moving to Clermont. I was qouted an annual premium of $593 w/o dog and 619 w/dog. Coming from VA this was in line with what I'm paying on my home there. I used a broker Florida Insurance Specialists (the policy is with ASI-American Strategic Incurance) and they were great. Good luck!

Stay away from Universal Insurance; I am having a nightmare with a claim they refuse to honor after an electric surge burned some appliances and fried a whole bunch of stuff in the house. They have so much fine print it is amazing if anything is covered at all.

You still have Nationwide? I thought they left the state. They cancelled my friends and I after 2004. We had to search for new insurance.
