It sure beats shoveling snow in the winter and throwing chains on your tires, etc.

Hate to tell you this, but people get shot in other cities too. Fact of life. Maybe you should work in an ice cream store or at the mall.

Yes, that is right. I work in an office making other people rich but I needed gas and stopped on that Gore street gas station in downtown Orlando and minutes after I left, two scumbag robbers came and robbed it and fire two shots.

Now, this thread was initiated and is intended to say Lake Mary "sucks" (in response to my criticism of certain areas of East Orlando). Go for it, folks... but know that deep inside Lake Mary rules!

I called LMPD before moving there. It is MUCH safer than East Orlando (Orlando in general).

Been in Lake Mary 2 years and I come home late, totally relaxed. It is 100x safer than Orlando, specially East Orlando. My cousins live in absolute fear in East Orlando.

Try going to Lake Mary at night. Instead of loud 1980 Honda Civics with big mufflers, we have Lamborghinis and Ferraris driving on the streets. All the malls and shopping areas are super well-kept and everyone acts with a lot more class.

Lake Mary is almost a separate part of FL. It is NOTHING LIKE THE HELLHOLE ORLANDO IS RIGHT NOW (and I grew up in West Orlando - MetroWest).

Nirvana Guy , aren't you the "Miami " expert who listed all of the horrible things about the area ..... funny how you live in Orlando

It seems you are a bon vivant and a connoisseur of the finer things in life , Orlando sucks , Miami sucks but according to you Lake Mary is a paradise with
Ferraris and Lamborghinis driving the streets ..... give me a frickin break

I'm a little confused here because I'm looking at the Lake Mary chart and PER CAPITA (which is the stats we need to be looking at) Lake Mary crime is either on par or significantly LOWER than the national average, while the Orlando crime stats you posted show TOTAL violent crime at almost 3 times the national average.....

Guess I'm confused what point who is trying to prove??

Also let's keep in mind that these are '03 stats and that crime in both areas HAS gotten worse....

The stats may not be totally up to date, but if you check out CD itself, the crime in Lake Mary isn't even one half the national average. It comes in at 146. But if you check out Orlando, they are well above 900 with the national average being at 325. So what exactly is this thread trying to prove?

So in all fairness, I checked out another site. They base the national average at 3. Lake Mary violent crime is a 2. Lake Mary property crime is a 3. For both violent and property crime, Orlando is an 8.

No, no, no Ash. You don't hear them because of the Honda Civics' mufflers!!!!

Heaven protect us from those hoodlums that meet at the BasketBall courts in the afternoons after school....I can only imagine what they're hiding under their shorts and t-shirts....and I'm not even going to get started on those kids swimming in the community pool.

I'm glad I have several neighbors who are ex Army special forces and Navy Seals...hey man we need all the protection we can get here in East Orlando.
I can't imagine what my next door neighbors were thinking when they bought out here - they're realtors they should have known better!

Well, I gotta get going...get those bars installed on the windows out here, you know. We could get hit any moment now!

I agree with you Pianogal. A couple of Ak-47s (1 is not enough), plenty of hand grenades, lots of bars and definitely some barbed wire around the perimeter of your house. Don't forget the killer dogs and a very loud alarm system.

Hey there. I actually do not think it's the same person, despite many similarities. This guy makes a lot more grammatical (especially in verb tenses) and spelling errors.
