John Young Parway area Kissimmee...
I am interested in a condo in the area of John Young Pkwy and Donegan ave. in Kissimmee Anyone familiar with the area? If so is it a nice neighborhood? I have only been through there once during the day.
If you are familiar with that area would you live there?
Thanks a lot for any and all replies.

Crime Report for Kissimmee Florida
Check out the above. I go to Kissimmee every week and have never had a problem but I would not go at night. I also only go to the main street areas & do not like to even drive down some of the side roads.

That isn't the best area. Not the worst but not an area I'd live in. And I'd lock my car doors as I drove through.

Can I ask the complex name? As a whole this area is not too great but there is 2 condo complexes that are not so bad.

If you need to be in this general area, I would suggest Hunters Creek or Celebration. Kissimmee is not the best area overall. I do not see it as a huge crime area as much as I think it is dumpy and filled with rundown complexes, barred up windows, budget hotels, and lowlifes. There are a few exceptions to the general Kissimmee area like east on Irlo Bronson going toward St Cloud or south on Pleasant Hill Road.

There are some nice condo complexes around Osceola County, you just need to look at the neighborhood and decide whether you want a complex with security. I had a home in Remington and felt very safe there, we did have security at night too. There are some "Golf Villas" inside Remington which are real nice. There is another sub-division called Kissimmee Bay with nice condo's too and it is a gated community but I am not sure it has security at night.

We saw a condo in Gables at Lakeside that looked nice and the price was good they have really nice ammenities and the HOA is reasonable but if the neighborhood isn't so good then the other factors don't matter.

livsea, I know this complex. Back when it was apartments it was pretty bad. I haven't heard of anything since it has gone to condos but I would look into how many of the units are rented out because renters seem to attract more problems. Again, it is not the best part of town. As a general rule I would avoid the 34741 area for condos and look into something in the 34746 or 34744 area code. I would take Guntervilles suggestions and look into Remington, Kissimmee Bay and even The Oaks for condos. I know that The Oaks have some really amazing prices right now.

I forgot to mention the Oaks condo's as CMJ just mentioned. A guy I work with got one in there several months ago for a great price, I could not believe the deal he got.

Honestly I would suggest going further up John Young to near the Orange County line / The Loop shopping center and look for condos there. Much better kept and "nice" area than the aforementioned location.
