Question Would YOU pay $500,000 for a 2/2 apt/condo in Altamonte??

Would YOU pay $500,000 for a 2/2 apt/condo in Altamonte??

Here is what you get for 1/2 a Million Dollars in Altamonet Springs, FL:

A 2/2 apt (which they call a "condo"). Something like 1,200 sq ft. A high HOA fee. And a parking space in the building's garage. Oh yeah, you get to tell your friends you live in "Uptown Altamonte".

1/2 a million. And in Altamonte too! Super crowded and the area is getting pretty dirty with litter too.

NOTE: This is NOT an ad for the condo. I think it is ABSURD to pay that much for a crappy apt condo and I am wondering if there is anyone else out there who is gullible enough to pay that much for it!!

Come to northern nj. That money will buy you even less space for a riverfront property in a popular neighborhood.

Default I would never live in NJ, NY, CT, or MA

I'd rather DIE than live in NJ, NY, CT, or MA!! Specially Massachussetts... that state has some real crazies! Not the whole state, but man....

I kid you not.

I would never live in NJ... but really WHO make sthe kind of cash to live in a $500,000 apt?!?

Nirvana, I've got to tell you that the available options in your poll are quite amusing. Since I have no money, I couldn't pick the third option. Isn't that a very high price? I thought real estate was taking a dip.

Talking It depends

It really does depend.
I've had this conversation with many other long time Fl residents. The last being a broker who grew up, like me, in Coconut Grove/South Miami/Perrine. She and I both agree.
If the condo supplies the drugs, nothing really outrageous maybe an ounce or two of good coke and some good grass; and, of course, if the HOA supplies sex (but here I accept no shortcuts; at this price, I expect the full monty; from she-males to gorgeous blondes with really long legs) then, and only then, does the half million dollars seem quite reasonable.
Now of course, I expect that the above services to be brought up to my condo. Not to worry, I'm a good tipper.

Jbravo, that's cute. Now I totally understand why the price is that high.

Not that I would spend it, but the condos are located on the lake, so great view of the activities that go on there, including the best 4th of July fireworks in the area. However, they are pricey and I would not pay that price. But then I would not buy a condo.

It is extremely expensive. AZnd yet somehow, these rip-off schemes end up getting some poeple with more money than brains to buy into these.

He he, the options on the poll were meant to be kinda funny. But overall, the response I expected (No) is the prevailing one anyway.

I am just wondering WHO is the porson who voted "yes, it is the right price". He/she must have a lot of money $.... and veyr little common sense.

Do you guys wnat the website (or a picture) for this place?? It doesn't look that good. It actually looks cheapily built and it is right off of I-4 (road noise). Not to mention, it is next door to the "I-4 Eyesore" (a building - all the locals would know about it).

Anyone you or anyone else know someone who has bought there?? I am curious, WHY would they do that?!?
