Yes i'm looking into switching to AT&T internet as well. I know a few people with it, and when i go to there house with my laptop it is a lot faster and i don't think they have had any problems with it.

Bright House sucks. I've had it for 3 years now and at least a few times a week I've got to reset the modem. About every 8-10 months they need to come out and replace the modem because it gets to the point where it can't even maintain a connection to the neighborhood router. tracert commands show a bunch of lost packets = time for new modem.
