Both are good areas,

Clermont is growing and a central location to Orlando, Disney but some people don't like the newer communities you see is a sea of rooftops due to the rolling hills.

Tavares is rural also with a longer drive to Orlando jobs but gives access for watercraft to the chain of lakes.

Lake County Schools

Tavares is ok, but I LOVE Clermont. I have a 2 year old girl...really, she could be happy anywhere. I have freinds with kids a little older and they seem to keep busy and really enjoy the Clermont area as well. Tavares does have a nice chain of lakes for boating, but Clermont's isn't too shabby either!!
