Post Have you seen this real estate chart from WSJ online?

http://online.wsj.com/public/resourc...&ps=false&a=up

Also, I was checking out my mortgage online and my company has a search for houses in foreclosure.. there were about 30 in Florida (mainly Orlando) and this company isn't a HUGE mortgage company. They are also based in NY.. just made me wonder, that's all.. interesting and sad. About 7 of the 30 were over 1M.

I have to laugh the the job market on this chart says VERY STRONG .. yet I truly believe the board folks when they say it's sucky and only good for the low wage jobs where you can't feed your family of four on.

Geesh, there are only three areas on that chart where the housing market is doing well~Charlotte, Minneapolis, and Seattle. I found it odd that Seattle is doing well, but Portland isn't. Yea, I was a bit surprised to see that the Orlando job market is that strong.

Ah...but you have to look at those little asterisks!

***Job growth projections by Moody's Economy.com for the two years ending in the first quarter of 2009.

Perhaps they're counting on the jobs in the new "medical corridor" coming about, or maybe they know something the rest of us don't! If the med school gets built on time, the new VA hospital goes up and Nemours Children's Hospital finally gets approved, there should be many medical related jobs available. It's the timing though.... All this is out in PianoGal's area and she could probably keep us up on the progress.
