Anyone actually live in Celebration ?
I like the area because it is away from Orlando, but easy to get to if you
want to go to the Airport, Disney Parks, Restaurants, Etc.
Its cute and seems relatively safe. I really liked the walking & bike trails and
the community events. Does anyone on the board live in Celebration?

Thanks for sharing those photos. I've been past Celebration a number of times and have always wanted to check it out.

You might want to search this as there was a thread some months ago on Celebration.
Like you, we fell in love with Celebration. It's location, idealic surroundings, safety, proximity, lifestyle, etc. As we looked closer, and spoke to residents, we found that all is not paradise in what I call "The Truman Show."
My understanding is, and is of interest to parents, that the schools were excellent until they started busing students from outside the area. The schools are now frought with the same issues as any public school. I would confirm this if I were you.
Depending on where you are coming from, the homes are quite expensive. But do check the thread on Celebration and you will get more indepth answers.
We still like the area however.

Celebration
Thank you for the pictures. Love that post office!! As much as I would love
to leave Michigan I will wait until my daughter graduates from high school and is in college.
I thought Celebration might be a good idea for me, because I will be living
alone (my daughter would visit occasionally).
I could rent a small condo and pay the same as I am paying now.
Believe it or not it is May and I still have the heater running. I know I would
have high air conditioning bills but will trade them for the super high heating bills.

jolee - since you will be by yourself, Celebration is not a bad bet at all. There are some other communities that are similar, but I forget their names right now.
Come down and rent for a while until you get a better feel for the area.

It is nice to have a lot of things within walking/biking distance. We now have a bookstore and library and soon an Ace hardware store. Publix and Super Target are close too.

Luvthatmouse, how far do you actually live from Disney? If I remember correctly, you work there.

Nice place
We've been visiting Celebration since it was created, just wish now we had bought in its infancy, we do enjoy the shops/the resteraunts, and everything it has to offer, until we got to talking to the residents, I wouldn't move there until my 2nd child finishes school.
Like the other person said, the school isn't so great, the Oseola school district is pretty bad and the boards I read just about says a couple people run the school system, we have that already living in a small community "up North"...........
Some people really need to be run of Celebration!
We had visions of opening a business there in a couple years, since my oldest is going to college outside Orlando, now we aren't sure, going to Sand Lake area/Dr Phillips, this seems to be even nicer.
We do enjoy the small towness" of Celebration, spent alot of time there, eating and going to PJ's Coffee when we come to town and talking to the residents, but like I said, we're undecided now.
?Just like everywhere else, every place has something, but I am starting to think that after reading all about the town, it's issues...........we may just buy elsewhere and just continue to use the paths and resteraunts and visit the shops........but live outside the "quaint little town"..............
Just seems like over the last 5 years there's been so much changes that are alot more negative........people in Celebration, any comments?
We liked the fact there were alot of clubs/different things to do/lots of different people from such diverse backgrounds........
I open to listen.
We do like to go to Sherlock's to listen to music and have a nice glass of wine...............

As far as my knowledge goes, the best areas to live in Orlando are Celebration, Windmere, and Winter Park. I'm a Tampa native, so my knowledge of Orlando's greater area is limited... if anyone could give me more insight, it would be appreciated.
