Lake Mary crime (Orlando, Maitland: credit, income, sick)

It was on the news yesterday. The last place near Orlando,
Lake Mary apt. complex had multiple car break ins. The people stole cell phones, stereos, etc.
And in a Office complex in Lake Mary a man walked into offices and stole purses and personal information and went on a shopping spree. They have 2 people on tape using peoples credit cards.

I never said there was no crime in Lake Mary, but compared to Orlando, the crime rate is very low.

Not to mention that in Lake Mary, yeah we are now having car break-ins, since they ran out of cars to break into in Orlando. Well, the most likely reason is because Lake Mary residents are so chilled out and not worried about crime that they don't even lock their cars a lot of the time. My next door neighbor walks right down to his car everyday and just gets in. He has left his door not totally closed all the time. Not smart, but long time Lake Mary residents do it a lot.

Not to mention, Lake Mary residents have a lot more money than a lot of people in Orlando (Estimated median household income in Lake Mary in 2005: $73,700 vs. Orlando's Median household income in 2005: $36,699). So there is more to steal from us. In Orlando, you break into some cars in some areas of East Orlando where you live, all you will find is a crackpipe and probably dirty clothes 'cause the guy is living in his car.

Oh and in case you forgot to look, Orlando's crime index for the last 6 years has been:

Ok, you go ahead and try and slander Lake Mary. You wish you COULD live in Lake Mary, But you are stuck in Orlando... just go.... go back to your Spanish classes or you won't be able to get groceries or read any billboards in your side of Orlando.

But it is too bad you do NOT know anything about Lake Mary. It is much better than Orlando and you know it. I am sorry you live in the ghetto and are angry others can live in nice places like Lake Mary.

I will post some pics of Lake Mary and the Lake Mary Colonial Town Center. Prepare to be amazed at all the Ferraris and how clean the area is. Oh, not to mention people actaully speak English in this area if you can believe that. Unlike East Orlando which is basically part of Tijuana, Mexico, with all the billboards and businesses with Spanish-only signs, Lake Mary is and feels like a part of the US. And I mean culturally too! No Spanish billboards and no blasting loud "pimpmobiles" on the street.

What's wrong with Spanish only signs? If you don't like them don't read them. No, East Orlando is not part of Tijuana, Mexico. It's actually very nice.

Lake Mary has the charm of an old rusty nail. Cookie cutter homes....check. Pastic people...check. Out of touch with the world...check. Big Box stores...check. Yes, it is safe, and yes there are pretty houses, and yes people are WHITE. That doesn't make it unique, that makes it boring.
You can live in Orlando, safely, in many areas that have unique places to eat and shop and people act like people not Credit Card Robots.

I for one cannot wait until you move.

So let me get this straight.... you rather have illegal aliens in every corner, rundown houses, and unsafe areas, so the area you live in is "unique" and not "boring"?

No, in Lake Mary people are white black, Asian, and Hispanic. The difference is that the Hispanics in Lake Mary have joined the American culture and SPEAK ENGLISH.... you know, that language we rarely hear in Orlando these days. And the Spanish people in Lake Mary do NOT blast loud Spanish music at 3am every night or expect Spanish billboards all over town. They are Americans... they are mostly here legally. I know, it is weird for you to hear that Spanish people actually speak English and are here legally and love the USA, but in civilized areas like Lake Mary, they do.

I am very content with the "boring" Lake Mary. I rather live in "boring" Lake Mary than have to lock my doors and keep a gun in my glovebox all the time... as I have to do in Orlando.

Actually, Lake Mary was one of the nicest places still in the Orlando metro area. Maitland is still very nice. Alta is so congested and people drive like maniacs. Alta is way too busy for comfort.
