Default Do you get a family feel in Clermont?

You know how some cities have that small community feel to them?
Ex. Lots of neighborhoods with kids, big city activities (sports, etc) for kids.
Lots of parks and recreation.

Is Clermont like this? Or is it more depending on the community you live in?
For ex., if you live in Legends you will have that feeling, but once you drive out of Legends and are in the city, it doesn't feel like that.

Clermont has a lot of parks and recreation programs and a very friendly small town vibe to it. It's one of the things that attracted us to the area almost seven years ago now.

The small town feel doesn't stop when you leave your subdivision, people are very friendly.

I love it here! I am 33 and have been in this area since the 6th grade. I think it has a great family feel to it and their are plenty sports activities for kids (soccer, football, baseball, softball)...we have it all in my opinion!!!

I moved to Clermont Fl from up North ,Maryland suburbs ,a month ago.I got a four bedroom two car garage home with a enclosed pool and jacuzzi and fruit trees for one fourth of what I was paying up North for a four story apartment.Im ridiculously happy with the schools, neighborhood people, climate and everything about here.Theres very little lines, waits, traffic and customer service is friendly and helpful nearly everywhere I have been.
My husbands commute to Orlando is worth it ,thirty minutes. He tells me everyday about all the shady people and areas he sees near his job.I highly recommend Clermont and surrounding.Look for subdivisions with hoa and wellkept homes dont know all the names of neighborhoods yet, in general as a fabulous place to live and raise a family so far i have a great welcome. There are parents who fib on address, use a friends address, bring their kids to my neighborhood to attend my childs school,as its best in area.I did my research on here and found Clermont to be a growing area, with alot of snowbirds and retirees and a smalltown feel.I moved close to a golf course and Im so happy here .I was so very worried about moving to Orlando suburbs with my six months of research daily on here, but so far I adore Clermont,Groveland,Minneola,Leesburg etc overall.Big enough for wholesale clubs and chain restaraunts, ok a few, but small enough for peaceful evenings and smalltown feel.I might be the minority but I doubt it when I see so many houses in the area others must feel the same.

My wife and I moved down from D.C. (Northern Virginia Suburbs) 2 months ago. And once we took a look at Clermont there was nothing keeping us away. Our initial home search was focused on Southeast Orlando (Lake Nona and surrounding areas). I transfered here for work and since closing on our home in Clermont 2 weeks ago I will gladly take the 30 to 40 minute commute into Orlando, considering my commute into D.C. averaged 45 minutes to 1 1/2 hours daily! The quality of life has been ideal and very small townish...bonus. Depending on where you'll work and how you feel about your commute Clermont is the place to be. Good Luck!!

thanks both for the positive Clermont reviews, its great to hear such good things. We are still trying to find jobs b4 heading down and its been a long time coming as I sit here in -17 degree wind chill weather in Buffalo. Just left Florida a week ago and I feel like its my home
Please say some prayers that federal jobs open up in Orlando!
