Please help! My husband's job is offering us an opportunity to move to Tampa, Orlando, Jacksonville or West Palm Beach. I will be looking for a job in a Hotel/Resort setting. I have experiance in corporate sales and a BA in hospitality management. Thank you!

Well my vote would be for the Orlando area (realizing you don't have to actually live in Orlando, there are a lot of nice smaller surrounding communities).

You have all the resort areas close by with Disney, Universal, Sea World, etc. and all the hotels that go along with that for your job situation. Plus (well for my family anyway who are theme park, water park, Fort Wilderness, etc. nuts anyways) there is a lot more to do in that area but you are still only an hour or two away from the beaches if that is something your family likes to do.

Good luck whatever you decide! (and how fortunate for your family that he has a job offer and a choice of cities).

P.S. My inlaws are in Jacksonville and nothing I've seen there has really impressed me (and with that being said we are still trying to move to the Orlando area over J'ville and that's with having family there).

Orlando is a kid's dream come true. Also the selection and caliber of resorts in the Orlando area by far surpasses Jacksonville. Orlando has the second largest hotel market in the US after Vegas. Jacksonville had to park cruise ships in the harbor during the superbowl they hosted. Jacksonville has a more diversified job market than Orlando and has some adjacent beaches and recreation of a different vein than Orlando, BUT I would still recommend Orlando over Jacksonville.

Jax would have the lowest cost of living and the most "southern" culture by far. However, it has smallest hotel industry of the four. You would have to weigh the fact that you husband's job earnings will go further against the fact that you will have a harder time finding a job.

Orlando will have by far the most job opportunities in your field.
