Altamonte Springs is the largest city in Seminole County. There is shopping, houses, condos, apartments, and restaurants, everywhere. Plus, I-4 is right there in the middle of it. The school situation depends on what side of Altamonte you live on. One side goes to Lyman HS, the other to Lake Brantley. I have a lot of friends who live in Altamonte and love it, plus it's only about 2 miles from me, so I get to enjoy all it has to offer. Good luck with your search. If you want any more info, feel free to send me a private message

Altamonte is like an anthill. It is VERY packed and it is getting very dirty.

"Uptown Altamonte" is a newly built area where a 2/2 apt costs $500,000. A real joke and a nice way to waste 1/2 a Million Dollars.

I'd say live in either Maitland or Lake Mary or Longwood and by-pass Altamonte. That area is getting too crowded and too dirty.

Alt Spgs has good and bad sections - just carefully select your address carefully. Don't know if you have children or not - A.S. feeds Lyman & Lake Brantley high schools - both are very good. I work in Casselberry - fairly familiar with the area - feel free to PM me with any questions.
